Uncharted, We Meet Again

Sometimes, it feels as if certain games come to exist in my house thanks to pure fate.  Most of my games I seek out myself, but Uncharted is one series I never once put my mind to acquiring, and yet, here I stand the owner of not one, but two, entries from the series.  The main reason why Uncharted never really appealed to me was because I’ve never been a fan of games that are too…realistic, I guess?  There’s just something about games that feature realistic-looking humans or even just good, ol’ planet Earth that don’t appeal to me.  (I mean, the Sly Cooper series seems to take place on Earth, but it’s populated by anthropomorphic animals, which is okay in my book.)

When I bought my PS3, it was accompanied by Uncharted 3.  I decided to play the game, since I had it in my possession, after all, and while it was pretty cool, I quickly forgot about it shortly after completion.  For a short while, I considered checking out the first two games, and then that just never happened.  And yet, that was certainly not the last I would see of the series, even if I didn’t know it at the time.  It was with the recent purchase of my PS4 that another Uncharted game snuck its way into my gaming shelf once more, the fourth (and final?) entry in the series.

Fancy seeing you here, Nathan Drake.  Long time no see. Continue reading Uncharted, We Meet Again

Listmas 2016: Games to Potentially Pad my PS4 Library

Now that the PS4 has finally joined my gaming family, I have begun the all-important task of acquiring a collection of games to accompany it.  What good is a shiny new console without games, after all?  Thus far, the PS4 section of my gaming shelf consists only of the Ratchet & Clank remake and Uncharted 4, which is a sad sight indeed.  Fortunately, with Christmas coming up, I might just be able to do something about it.  And so, without further ado, a delightful list containing the potential games I might add to my PS4’s library (even if some of them are nowhere near being released). It’s time once again for the Saturday Video Round Up, bringing you the best trtailers and gameplay from the previous week. Even though we’re just about halfway through the month and most, not all, major AAA titles are now out on store shelves, new trailers are still coming in fact and furious. Here’s a small taste of what waits for you below.

For you Mass Effect fans out there, you may have realized that this past Monday was N7 Day, a celebration for all things Mass Effect. Prepare to drool in all it’s visual glory!

It’s launch trailer central this week as two games that have been featured almost on a weekly basis are finally launching. That’s right, come check out the launch trailers for Dishonored 2, then go play it because it’s out now and Watch_Dogs 2 which hits store shelves early next week.

Saturday Video Round Up: January 31 – February 6

The following post was submitted by Gamer Crash. See more trailers and news at GamerCrash.com!

Saturday has returned once more and that means it’s time for another Round Up for your viewing pleasure. I hope you’re ready for some video action this week because there was an avalanche of content, so lets dive right into it shall we? Here’s just a small taste of what’s waiting for you below the jump.

In terms of big releases this year, Bethesda decided to rile up the masses by releasing a brand new campaign trailer for the hyper violent shooter, DOOM. Not only that, fans now know when they’ll be able to kick demon ass when the game launches in May. Not too much longer to wait!

Street Fighter V is only a mere week and a half away at this point and thanks to a brand new trailer, we now know what sort of modes players will be able to dive into on day one. Of course, Capcom is planning on adding more content over time, but for now, there’s a good amount of stuff to keep you going.

I’ve also got new videos for Killer Instinct, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, Super Smash Bros DLC and so much more after the break, so come check out this week’s batch of trailers! It’s a stuffed Round Up this week folks, so enjoy! We’ll see you in 2016 everyone!

Saturday Video Round Up: July 26 – August 1

The following post was submitted by Gamer Crash. See more trailers and news at GamerCrash.com!

Hey look, it’s August! Where does the time go?

As we slowly exit the dry, barren wasteland that is July, the release schedule starts to slowly accelerate. This is certainly good news for the Round Up as we near game launches, trailers become more readily available. So, lets have a look at some of the best videos and trailers from the past week. Here’s a small taste of everything that’s waiting for you below the jump.

Super. Mario. Maker. I don’t know about you, but there’s something extremely appealing about crafting your own Mario levels being able to break some rules such as putting two Boswers on top of each other, or gating off the flag pole at the end of the level. If that’s for you, then the “nostalgia” trailer is something you’ll definitely have to watch.

Want even more insight into the mind of Rico Rodriguez, protagonist in the upcoming and totally bonkers sandbox game, Just Cause 3? Avalanche Studios has you covered this week along with some new footage that would even make Michael Bay jealous.

I’ve also got new videos for Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture, LEGO Dimensions, the final DLC pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and so much more after the break, so come check out this week’s batch of trailers!

The full list of videos await you after the jump…

Top Anticipated Games: #gamersonwatch

With E3 at a close, I must make a confession.  While I have certainly heard of this important gaming event, I admit that I don’t typically pay it much heed, and any news I do hear comes from random people or articles on the Internet.  Nevertheless, I have a short list for you all in celebration of E3 and our June community post, and I’m keeping it simple.  My favorite gaming news is whatever involves the release of interesting games, so I shall list (and briefly describe) the five games I look forward to most (whether they were mentioned at E3 or not).  In no particular order.
