Alright, lets get real for a moment here. We’re deep in the heart of July which basically translates to the driest and most bare bones time for games in the entire year. Unfortunately, that also means the Round Up isn’t as stocked as it usually is. But hold on! Before you close this tab or browse to a new site, I do have a good selection of videos for you this week so make sure to get comfortable, crank the volume and enjoy. Here’s a small taste of what’s waiting for you below the jump.

This week Avalanche Studios released the full 7 minute demo for Just Cause 3 from E3 last month and boy does the game look incredibly fun. If surfing on jets, blowing stuff up, using a wingsuit to speed across a gorgeous Mediterranean landscape, or using a grappling hook to destroy things sounds like your idea of fun, make sure to watch the video below.

For those who may have missed one of PlayStation 3’s most visually impressive games, well, you now have another chance to experience true anger as God of War III Remastered is now out for the PlayStation 4. And yes, somehow the tech wizards at Sony Santa Monica have managed to squeeze more visual quality out of the game. The launch trailer is below.

After a short hiatus, the Video Round Up is back once again containing all of the best video content from the past week, even if we’re dead smack dab in the middle of the slowest release period of the year. Thankfully, Comic Con helped save this week a bit so lets get to the new stuff, shall we? Here’s a small taste.

With Comic Con is raging over in San Diego, meshing TV, movies, comics, and games together under one roof, Capcom took the opportunity to bring their highly anticipated fighter, Street Fighter V to the show floor. Better yet? A new character has also been revealed, to which I’ll let the trailer below fill you in on who it is.

Fans of Treyarch’s zombies mode will be thrilled to learn it’s coming back in this year’s Call of Duty entry: Black Ops III. This time around, the mode takes place in a Mafia inspired 1940’s setting and brings Ron Perlman, Heather Graham, Neal McDonough, and the one and only Jeff Goldblum on as the four main characters. Time to queue up Goldblum’s classic Jurassic Park memes.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to an all new Video Round Up featuring the best trailers and gameplay videos from the week that was. For those of you who are new here, welcome aboard. Now sit back, kick those feet up and crank the volume. Here’s a small sample of what’s below the jump.

This week’s big title appears to be Batman: Arkham Knight with a pair of videos for you to enjoy. PlayStation 4 owners can get a great look at some of the “exclusive” content coming with the game. Not only that, Rocksteady revealed almost 8 minutes of new gameplay footage all of which I have for you below. Just keep reminding yourself, there’s only a few short weeks to wait.

Considering all the hype that the movie is getting, Avalanche Studios released a brand new trailer for their upcoming open world game, Mad Max. This time around, the trailer focuses on the story line in the game with a good amount of gameplay and combat mixed in. For fans of The Road Warrior, this appears to be a title to keep an eye on.

Hey, look! It’s a brand new Video Round Up! It was a busy week here on the internet and as such there was an avalanche of new video content. Brace yourself for a whole week’s worth of videos touching on the latest trailers to the biggest gameplay footage. Sit back and relax as we dive into the biggest videos from the week that was. Here’s a taste of what’s waiting for you below the jump.

With the long development cycle of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt finally coming to an end, CD Projekt Red has been ramping up the hype train these past few months. This week was no exception as we got a brutal new gameplay trailer and a developer diary highlighting some of the monsters Geralt will square off with.

It’s another week and another video for Batman: Arkham Knight graces our screens. Instead of focusing on actual gameplay, Warner Bros and Rocksteady have instead given us a behind the scenes look with some of the major voice actors that you’ll be hearing come June once the game is out.

A Blissful Pursuit: My Relationship Fighting Games

This week saw the release of Mortal Kombat X, the latest title in that ubiquitous fighting saga that, if nothing else, well popularized the phrase “Get over here!” But this week also marks another Mortal Kombat milestone: the 20th anniversary of the release of Mortal Kombat 3 (MK3). On April 15, 1995, Midway Games released what was then the most highly polished game in this budding series. As is key with fighting game series, MK3 featured a much larger roster of fighters than previous games, and the graphics were pretty darn great, again compared to previous games. It was through MK3 that I became familiar with my all-time favorite fighter, Sindel. It was through MK3 that I actually completed my first fatality. (Having never properly learned any in Mortal Kombat or Mortal Kombat II.) It was through MK3 that I learned about how subtle a fighting game could be, as I had become quite used to mashing my way through a number of Street Fighter games. And it was probably through MK3 that I finally became a fan of the series. But…

Welcome to April everyone! Saturday has once again rolled around and here’s a brand new Video Round Up for you to sink your teeth into. A lot took place this past week so there’s a ton of new trailers and video content for you to enjoy. So kick your feet up, crank the volume, and enjoy! Here’s a small taste of what’s below the jump.

It’s a Nintendo explosion! As a new Nintendo Direct graced our computer screens, a vast array of trailers also released covering a bunch of upcoming games like Fire Emblem, Splatoon, and new content for Mario Kart 8. I’ve grabbed them all for you and placed them below for your viewing pleasure.

Fans of Tom Clancy will be excited to know that a brand new trailer for Rainbow Six Siege released earlier this week to coincide with the beta signup news. The trailer shows off more gameplay elements and gadgets players will be able to use to either save hostages or take down the Rainbow team.

Saturday Video Round Up: March 8 – 14

Even though there was a major conference taking place last weekend with PAX East, that didn’t stop the flow of new trailers from gracing the internet. The Round Up is back once again compiling all of the best ones I could find and presenting them to you below. So kick your feet up, crank the volume and enjoy. Here’s a small taste of what’s waiting for you below the jump.

With the game quickly approaching it’s release date, Mortal Kombat X was in the news quite a bit this week. Two new trailers dropped for the highly anticipated fighter as a few new characters were revealed. The first story based trailer deals with the Cage family (yup, he’s baaaaaack) while the second reveals the first character coming to the game in the game’s season pass (Kombat Pack).

Here’s something you probably were not expecting this week: a new game by Game Freak, better known as the developers of Pokemon. No this isn’t another pokemon spin off, instead think of an elephant mixed with Rambo. For Game Freak and Sega, you have their latest game, Tembo the Badass Elephant. Yup, I’m not making this up, just see for yourself below.
