I played DOOM. I played DOOM II. Both games were simply tremendous. I’ve repeatedly tried to play DOOM 3 since getting an Xbox copy of the game years ago, but…I…can’t. Oh believe me, I’ve tried repeatedly, but I have a really hard time getting past the game’s first stage because it’s just too much. Too scary, too stressful, too dismal, too everything. So for my final spooky silly poem (there’s still time to submit your entries!), I give you this testament to admitting that I’m a big scaredy-cat when it comes to DOOM 3.

A master of poetry, I am not. In fact, the last time I wrote anything remotely poem-like was… … …middle school? I think. And that’s because we were forced to do so for English class. However, I’m more than happy to contribute a few lines of something or other to UWG’s month of spooky silly poetry! Hopefully my feeble attempt at this won’t make the true wordsmiths run for the hills. If you’re still here, thanks, and please enjoy (or cackle at) my first entry here inspired by the game DOOM.
