Saturday Video Round Up: February 26 – March 4

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the weekend and an all new edition of the Saturday Video Round Up. As usual, I’ve gather up the best video game trailers and gameplay from around the industry this past week and put them all in a handy dandy post for your viewing pleasure. Let’s get to it, shall we?

After a leak last week, WB and Monolith officially confirmed that Middle-earth: Shadow of War is indeed real. Picking up where the first game left off, players jump back into the armor of fallen ranger Talion and his spirit elf Celebrimbor as they create a new ring of power and prepare to go toe to toe with Sauron. With a newly updated and expanded Nemesis System, I am ready to return to the land of Mordor.

With the Nintendo Switch now out in the wild, there’s also a handful of launch videos for the new console watching for your views as well.

I’ve also got new videos for Nier: Automata, Injustice 2, Mass Effect Andromeda and so much more after the break, so come check out this week’s batch of trailers!

The full list of videos await you after the jump…

Hello and a happy new year to you all! This is it. The not-so-great mixed-bag that was 2016 has finally passed and the fresh start that is 2017 has finally arrived! There’s much that we don’t know about what this new year has in store for us, but what we do know is that it’s got some exciting games for us! I’ve got more than a few that I can’t wait to play, but the following are those that I can hardly contain my excitement for. Check ’em out! Continue reading Listmas 2016: Most Anticipated Games

Listmas 2016: Games to Potentially Pad my PS4 Library

Now that the PS4 has finally joined my gaming family, I have begun the all-important task of acquiring a collection of games to accompany it.  What good is a shiny new console without games, after all?  Thus far, the PS4 section of my gaming shelf consists only of the Ratchet & Clank remake and Uncharted 4, which is a sad sight indeed.  Fortunately, with Christmas coming up, I might just be able to do something about it.  And so, without further ado, a delightful list containing the potential games I might add to my PS4’s library (even if some of them are nowhere near being released). Saturday Video Round Up: September 25 – October 1

It’s Saturday once again and alongside is a brand new edition of the Video Round Up. This is the weekly series that brings you the biggest and best trailers from the week that was. With the fall release season in full swing, there’s a lot of good stuff to get to, so lets dive right in! Here’s a small taste of what awaits you after the jump.

Arguably the biggest trailer this week came from EA and DICE who finally showed off the single player campaign in Battlefield 1. The trailer does a good job at not only humanizing the war through various characters, but depicting just how brutal and chaotic World War I actually was. It looks like players will be jumping between a few characters, seeing their stories unfold through the campaign.

Bethesda is really going full steam ahead on Dishonored 2 marketing. This week, they released two trailers, both featuring the same level, but played in entirely different ways. If you’re a fan of taking action and going in guns blazing, you’ll want to check out the high chaos clip. For you stealthy ghost players, the low chaos version might tickle your fancy.

I’ve also got new videos for Titanfall 2, Yooka-Laylee, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered and so much more after the break, so come check out this week’s batch of trailers!

The full list of videos await you after the jump…

Saturday Video Round Up: August 14 – 20 GamesCom 2016 Edition

If you’re a fan of game videos and trailers, well then this has been your week, now hasn’t it?

The annual Gamescom event was in full swing this past week and with it a bunch of new trailers for many of the upcoming games were shown off as well. There’s a ton of great content to get through so kick your feet up, crank the volume, and enjoy. Here’s a small taste of what awaits you below.

Before we get to the insane amount of game trailers, make sure to check out the next Overwatch animated short feature Bastion. It’s been a while since we got one of these and I am incredibly happy a new one has emerged. I’m hoping a couple more are on the way as well. We all know there are plenty more characters that need covering.

I’ve also got videos for most if not all of the major games coming out int he next 8 months or so, including ReCore, Watch_Dogs 2, Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1, and so come check out this week’s batch of trailers!

The full list of videos await you after the jump…

Diving Into the Toybox!

“This already feels familiar!” That was more or less my first thought once I’d booted up the Yooka-Laylee Toybox and started roaming around. For those not in the know, Yooka-Laylee is a game currently being developed by Playtonic Studios as a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie. Playtonic is an independent developer comprised mostly of 90’s era RareWare veterans who produced the likes of Donkey Kong Country, Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Golden Eye 007, and of course Banjo-Kazooie itself. It’s hard not to be excited about a project when these are gonna be the people behind it! As for the Toybox, it’s something that was made available to Kickstarter backers to give them a taste of the game to come, and I have to say: a taste just isn’t enough. I want more! Day 12: A Game Everyone Should Play

I am slowly making my way through the 30 days of video game topics I started…probably a few years ago, and today we have finally reached…number 12.  I’m not even halfway done yet!  Yikes!  Well, this topic involves a game everyone should play, and I had to put careful consideration into which one I would pick.  Not only do I have a lot of great games that I would definitely recommend to others, but I wanted to make sure my choice wouldn’t also be used in other 30-day topics in the future.  After careful consideration, I ended up going with a game that is very special to me, Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy.
