In cooperation with the creative genius known A4man (@AdsTra on Twitter) and whose work graces the Internet in only the most delightful of ways, United We Game is happy to announce that, as part of our month-long, first anniversary celebration, we’re taking part in 1hour1sketch! 1hour1sketch was created for bit of fun by illustrators A4man and Fredrik Skarstedt (@Fredrik_S). Inspired by the sketch dailies on Twitter they both wanted a challenge with the emphasis on sketch, meaning you only had a maximum of one hour to make a sketch based on a set topic. The more rough and sketch-like the better; using pencil and paper was encouraged. Within a week other illustrators joined in the fun, and now hobbyists and illustrators of all skill levels are getting involved in the challenge!
The goal of 1hour1sketch is to get people drawing, doodling, and most importantly, sharing. It’s with this common goal in mind that UWG, this week, takes part in the 1hour1sketch project. A topic chosen by UWG admins will serve as 1hour1sketch’s topic for one week, from today the 16th to next Wednesday the 23rd. All you have to do to participate is take that topic and draw. That’s it! Draw, sketch, color, paint, do anything that presents your take on the topic in image form. Go analog or digital, paper or pixels, it does not matter! What matters is the fun, the art, the support, and the sharing in and of it all!
Once your drawing(s) is done, upload it to @1hour1sketch on Twitter and be sure to tag your post with #[thetopic], #1hour1sketch, and @UnitedWeGame or #UWG. That way we can keep track of all the fun stuff that people submit. After the 23rd, we’ll share some of our favorite drawings here on the site, including any that we came up with.

Not the kind of guy the re-blogs things but this is totally worth while. I have been participating in @1Hour1Sketch since nearly the beginning. So if you love drawing and video games at least check out this event. Feel free to stick around later for more art madness too!

When Hatm0nster, The Duck Of Indeed, and I began the site a year ago, we knew it’d be tons of fun, and it’s certainly become something very special. (And we’re not done yet! Not by a long shot.) As part of our birthday celebration, UWG has teamed up with the artist known as A4man (@AdsTra) to participate in his Twitter art project @1hour1sketch.
