U.M.M. MusicBlog #3

Hello again my beautiful chicken eggs! <3 Mr.Super Ultimate here, and I hope you are too! ;) Welcome to another installment of U.M.M. (Ultimate’s Music Monday’s!), which was born from my “Hello Gaming World blog.” So check it out if you haven’t! That blog featured one of my Super Metroid music videos. Because I have a playlist all nice and ready for you on my YouTube Channel, you can check out all the other original theme songs I have done so far for that series of videos there.

As always, a special thanks to Cary, Duck of Indeed, and Hatm0nster for all the support, and a thank you to the community for reading this blog!

With that said, let’s get right into it!

Today, I will share with you my newest master piece! Sadly, it is for a character I really dislike. He may be the only character in all of video gaming that I don’t fancy at all. He’s big, he’s bad, and he’s blue?! That’s right people, it is none other than the karate smith himself. Seth! For those who don’t know, Seth is the main antagonist in the Street Fighter 4 series. Now, because I am not a fan of this guy, I was just gonna slap some old paint on a new car by giving him an unused concept theme I had already in my collection of compositions.

(A collection that goes back years before this blue man group reject came on the street fighting dance seen only to be used in the corners of my mind as a backstage singer who didn’t sing…at all!).

I created this theme for Seth because he was included in a Mugen project of Marvel Vs. Capcom 4. Mugen is a free program that allows you to create original fighting games. This is also the same program that the hit video game Street Fighter was designed in as well. So, it’s a big deal among the fighting game community. You wouldn’t believe some of the craziest things people made in Mugen. This fan made project by someone on YouTube noticed one of my MVC4 concept themes, so they pulled some ideas out of their hat by saying who they think should be in the OST (Original Sound Track) that I was doing at the time for a MVC4 project of my own.

I knew I had gotten good enough to where music making wasn’t to hard for me; so I thought sure, why not make a theme for your pal Seth (because I have yet to hit the proverbial accept button that lets Seth know via his profile that Seth and I have just became Facebook friends). I’m not adding you Seth. You can look at me with them big soulless, blood shot eyes all you want. I am not adding you.

All in all, I am very pleased with the results of this theme. However, it’s not among my top favorites, but I tried to compose this track the same way I would any other; and that’s go full on Ozzy Osbourne! I gotta tell ya, I think I really bit the head off the bat with this one LoL. All joking aside, I enjoy this theme and I can even deal with the idea of Seth along side my arsenal of original fighting game themes.

Now, If you’re reading this and you didn’t like my Seth jokes, then clearly you love Seth. It’s okay, I won’t tell on you if you do love him <3 ;) But don’t worry because there is one good thing I can say about Seth, the guy always presents himself as the most claim, and collective looking out of the cast (next to Yuri that is). Oh Yuri <3 <3 <3 Anyways, sit back, relax, and get already to take your chill-pill because the blue minute man of the hour is finally ready to rock you like Angela Powell! Boys and Girls, I give you the theme of Seth!

“Happy listening and gaming!” -Mr.SuperUltimate

  1. Great theme! While I enjoy playing against Seth (he’s very entertaining to watch), I’m simply horrible at playing as him. His teleport move simply eludes me, and I’m usually dead before I know it.

    1. I know right? Hes only second to Bison when it comes to being a cheap fighter. Seth’s moves are mainly a mix of Ryu, Guile, and I think Chun-li? I say that because despite the fact I consider myself an expert at super moves, I too share your problems with character control. It’s not you Cary, it’s the button input. It feels more like that of Shaq-fu and not Street Fighter. I know the supers are hard because so many people at the time of the games release were willing to waste hours getting the button input just right so they could upload it to YouTube for all like me to see in great shame :'( Anyone who has gave up on SF4 will tell you that getting the moves to work was an achievement all by itself.
