It was this past year that I finally got around to playing all four games of the Sly Cooper series, a series I fell in love with, in fact, within the first hour. The whole stealth gameplay was very new to me, and I also greatly enjoyed the characters. One other area where this game really shines is its locations. You see, the Sly Cooper universe takes place in a world very similar to Earth, except it is populated by anthropomorphic animals rather than people, a fact I found quite entertaining indeed. And so, to celebrate a new favorite series of mine, this list is dedicated to my six favorite locations in the Sly Cooper series. Continue reading Listmas 2016: Top 6 Locations in Sly Cooper
At long last, I have done it. After getting 100% in the entire Sly Collection, including the mini games (they are not worth your time; I only played them to get my last few trophies), I can safely say I am the Sly series’ newest fan. Before I get into my thoughts on the series as a whole, I still have a few finishing words about Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves. Continue reading Newcomer Alert: The Completion of the Sly Collection
Why, hello, everyone. While I originally intended on writing about my thoughts halfway through my playthrough of Sly 3, this didn’t quite happen. I am about 48% through the game, but I have clearly made it much closer to the end than I realized when I ended up back on Kaine Island where the prologue took place. Hmm…something’s definitely off….
The reason for this comes from the fact that this game has Master Thief Challenges to complete in each chapter, so be sure to check these out. When wondering how on Earth I had reached the final level of the game at less than 50%, I found these challenges and realized they were the reason for the absurd discrepancy in percentages. I wish they had told me about these earlier. Well, I haven’t tried any yet, but they appear to be asking me to complete previous jobs with certain conditions. Don’t get hurt, do this in the time limit, and so on. It doesn’t sound too hard, but I’ll find out soon enough, now won’t I? After getting 100% in the previous games, though, it would be a real shame not to do the same now…. Continue reading Newcomer Alert: More Than Halfway Through Sly 3
Two games from the original Sly Cooper trilogy down, one more to go. That’s right, everyone, I have just started Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves. I am writing this particular post two hours into the game rather than just the usual hour, and…I’m not quite sure what to say yet. Okay, first off, this game is really similar to Sly 2. The controls are largely the same. The graphics are the same. (I think Carmelita’s voice actor has changed again, though.) Honestly, I don’t have a lot to go on right now, so I’m going to devote part of this post to pure speculation as to what I think is going to happen.
