Mass Effect Gets a Pre-Order Trailer

As we advance ever closer to its March 21st release date, more and more details have been dropping for the highly anticipated Mass Effect: Andromeda. There’s still plenty that we don’t know about the game though, with the game’s multiplayer still firmly blocked from our view. Still, just as astronomers make indirect observations of distant stellar objects, we can glean some information from what is otherwise just something meant to show off the perks gained from pre-ordering the game. Saturday Video Round Up: January 22 – 28

Saturday has once again reared its head and that means a brand new edition of the Round Up is here as well. Studios appear to be back into the swing of things after a holiday break and there are a lot of trailers and videos to get to. Here’s a small taste of what’s waiting below the break.

For me, one of the most exciting reveals this past week came from BioWare as they unleashed the second cinematic trailer for Mass Effect Andromeda. In it, we get a good look at what appears to be the primary antagonist for the Pathfinder crew. Not to be out done, a second trailer was also released focusing on the ark ship Hyperion. What’s great here is that the trailer reveals more of the trusty crew the Ryder twins will come across through their adventure.

The marketing blitz for Ghost Recon Wildlands has clearly begun as Ubisoft pushed out three brand new trailers for the game. The first focuses on the level of customization and freedom players have in the world, while the second actually shows off just how open the game really is. If you’re fired up and can’t wait for the game, the third trailer shows off a bonus mission for putting down some cash on the game early.

I’ve also got new videos for Rainbow Six Siege, Overwatch, Resident Evil VII biohazard and so much more after the break, so come check out this week’s batch of trailers!

The full list of videos await you after the jump…

Last week a new gameplay trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda was released during the 2016 Game Awards, and boy oh boy, does it ever look pretty.

It’s one of those trailers that leaves me in awe of the technology of today’s games. It’s almost ridiculous how much power and beauty developers can now fit into any given game, particularly games on this scale.  Plus, it’s Mass Effect, which already has an incredibly appealing universe. Over the years, it’s given us some of the most memorable characters and sites in gaming. The trilogy of original games certainly tops my list of all-time favorites.

That said…

Saturday Video Round Up: November 6 – 12

It’s time once again for the Saturday Video Round Up, bringing you the best trtailers and gameplay from the previous week. Even though we’re just about halfway through the month and most, not all, major AAA titles are now out on store shelves, new trailers are still coming in fact and furious. Here’s a small taste of what waits for you below.

For you Mass Effect fans out there, you may have realized that this past Monday was N7 Day, a celebration for all things Mass Effect. As usual, BioWare led the celebration charge and released new details on the upcoming Mass Effect Andromeda including the first cinematic trailer for the game. Prepare to drool in all it’s visual glory!

It’s launch trailer central this week as two games that have been featured almost on a weekly basis are finally launching. That’s right, come check out the launch trailers for Dishonored 2, then go play it because it’s out now and Watch_Dogs 2 which hits store shelves early next week.

I’ve also got new videos for Steep, Persona 5, The Last Guardian and so much more after the break, so come check out this week’s batch of trailers!

The full list of videos await you after the jump…

Saturday Video Round Up: September 4 – 10

The weekend has once again returned and so to has a brand new edition of the Saturday Video Round up. As usual, I’m bringing you the best trailers and gameplay videos from the past week, so kick your feet up, crank the volume, and enjoy. Lets get started, shall we?

Ubisoft released a trio of videos this week for their upcoming melee inspired game, For Honor. Fans can get a look at the Vanguard classes for the Viking, Samurai, and Knight factions. While all three may be in the same class, they certainly don’t play the same way.

While it may have skipped out at Gamescom and E3 this year, EA finally gave fans the first gameplay of Mass Effect Andromeda this past week at non-other than Sony’s PlayStation Pro reveal event. There was almost no set up, so we don’t quite know who many of these people are, where they are, or what they’re doing but man is it good to see Mass Effect back once again.

I’ve also got new videos for Titanfall 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Prey and so much more after the break, so come check out this week’s batch of trailers!

The full list of videos await you after the jump…

Thoughts on Mass Effect: Andromeda as an Open World Game

It’s recently come to light that Mass Effect: Andromeda might be an open world game, one with a “seamless, open world galaxy,” as the headlines state. Seeing has how I’m currently knee-deep in the vivacious world of the original Mass Effect trilogy (on ME2 now, and loving it more than before), I couldn’t help but wonder what the games would have been like if they had been open world games, a la GTA IV and V instead of the mission-based games that they are.  Does the gaming landscape need an open world Mass Effect game? Would it be good for the series? Are we talking, like, No Man’s Sky meets Dragon Age: Inquisition or something else? And what would that mean for players? Would it have to be connected to the Internet to play? How…?  Why…?

Saturday Video Round Up: November 8 – 14

The following post was submitted by Gamer Crash. See more trailers and news at GamerCrash.com!

It’s been a packed few weeks which began two weeks ago with the Paris Games Show, followed up by Blizzcon last week. This week, Nintendo fired back with a new Direct, something they haven’t done in a while. While I do have some great non-Nintendo videos, it would be wise to anticipate a host of WiiU/3DS trailers as well. Here’s a quick look at only a fraction of what waits for you below the jump.

Nintendo shocked a lot of people by announcing that the incredibly popular Final Fantasy VII character, Cloud, is joining the Super Smash Bros roster as DLC. The character stays true to what people expect and even comes with a fancy looking Midgard level as well. Smash Bros fans should also be on the look out in December as Nintendo is planning another even centered around Smash Bros, presumably to announce even more DLC.

I’ve also got new videos for Rainbow Six: Siege, Mass Effect Andromeda, Star Fox Zero and so much more after the break, so come check out this week’s batch of trailers!

The full list of videos await you after the jump…
