Wed, 02 Sep 2015 17:09:30 +0000/?p=4811#comment-14674There is some blood in the game, and more than that if you choose to play as a lethal version of Corvo. However, much of that, if not all of it, can be avoided if you treat DisHonored as a stealth game and try to sneak your way through each level.

Wed, 02 Sep 2015 17:06:30 +0000/?p=4811#comment-14673I’d highly recommend it. Very little about the world and its characters is revealed through the direct conversations and cutscenes. Most of that information is either revealed by the Heart or found in the environments you explore. The game is wonderfully indirect when it comes to world building!

Mon, 31 Aug 2015 10:07:18 +0000/?p=4811#comment-14647I don’t recall that the game is particularly scandalous. It does have dark themes, violence, and some pretty creepy visuals. At one point you do have to go through a brothel, but it was rather tame. If someone can get past all that, I’d recommend it. Its story and mechanics make for a very memorable experience.

Mon, 31 Aug 2015 00:43:06 +0000/?p=4811#comment-14642I’ve considered playing this game. I saw a commercial for it once, and it looked pretty awesome. I just tend to avoid M-rated games, but it depends on what it’s rated M for….

Wed, 26 Aug 2015 15:57:53 +0000/?p=4811#comment-14593These DisHonored posts make we want to play the game again! I sped through the game rather quickly (and frustratingly) the one time I played it. I didn’t have the time to get to really learn about Corvo, let alone all his cool gadgets. I remember using the Heart occasionally, but not enough to ever add much to the story. Maybe I’ll have to make a return to the game before DisHonored 2 comes out…

Tue, 25 Aug 2015 01:33:28 +0000/?p=4811#comment-14572I forgot that Portal 2 let you do that too. Need to go back to that one I think…
Yeah though, the Heart is what ties everything together and makes the world come alive!

Mon, 24 Aug 2015 00:30:46 +0000/?p=4811#comment-14552I haven’t played that game, but that Heart certainly sounds like an interesting concept. I love games that allow you to learn about the deeper story behind places and characters, but doesn’t spoon feed everything to you. Final Fantasy 13, for example, seems to pretty much force the plot onto you, with very little left over for the player to find out for themselves. Games like Metroid Prime and Portal 2, on the other hand, make the player work for the deeper story, and you can look for it or ignore it. I really enjoy that.
