I love playing adventure games, but would I want to adventure for real? I think it would be fun, until I realize I can’t even stand the thought of camping and sleeping outside in a tent, so I don’t think spending months from home in hostile territory would be much fun. Plus, I always wonder when they ever get a chance to brush their teeth or bathe or, well, eat. The character I pity most is Link, as he not only has to be the hero in one lifetime, but in countless lifetimes throughout history.

I’d like to see them get a permanent good ending for once instead of coming back in the sequel and finding that their status quo hasn’t changed.

Maybe Cole Phelps from L. A. Noire breaks things a bit with his endgame, but his initial path is lone wolf all the way.
