This game is pretty fun, and I’d definitely recommend it more than the Donkey Kong on the Wii. There are more levels after that, so I think they save the savannah. I hope. Sniff. It’s such a good song. So good, it depresses me.

I had that issue a lot. There was this lava area I couldn’t beat because I just couldn’t bounce on the enemy right. And one time I got it, only to die when I went for a puzzle piece. Grr!

One thing that really sticks out is trying to do the temples in Returns and having to get the full air from landing on an enemy, the game seemed to be very finicky what counts as a well timed button press and just missing it.

I thought the difficulty was more fair in this game than the Donkey Kong on the Wii. But, it is a pain when you’re rushing across crumbling platforms, then you accidentally land on an enemy and bounce into a pit. I’ve done that and died many times.

Wow, I really like this song. There’s a driving desperation to it that’s really compelling. DKC Tropical Freeze is on my to-play list, and now I can’t wait to get to it! (Even if parts of it are sad. I must know, did they save the Savannah?)

Apart from the small issue with Kong stopping all vertical movement when he bumps a wall making platforming in some areas VERY temperamental, I found the games difficulty hard but generally reasonable.
