It’s really quite fascinating seeing how we all each of us got from there to here, from non-gamer to gamer. It’s weird to think about, how often so many of us wind up focusing our thoughts of the industry on everything except how much fun the games are. You are right after all, we’re here to play the games and enjoy the company of our fellow gamers, and that’s all that really matters!

If you’ve been following my blog for any length of time, I’d think my schtick should be obvious by now — game memories, nostalgia, reflections on the past. Well, what I’ve not done here but decided to do over on United We Game was to look back upon my gaming past and sum things up in a nutshell. 2014 has brought about for me a number of reflective instances in thinking about the role that I want video games to play in my life moving forward. But as with so many things, it’s important to remember where you’ve been in order to see where you’re going. If you want to see where me and games have been, click the link below. And please leave your own (brief or not) histories with games in the comments!

Here’s the link to my gaming journey post! It was so much fun to write this post – I wanted so much to go into more detail on every little story but was more than aware it would’ve been an epic post lol!

Please do link back should you write an article of your own because, you’re right, it’s really interesting (regardless of what one *thinks* of one’s life :) to see how different people have grown up and with gaming.

It’s good to read about how people grow into the gamers they are today, how tastes and priorities change and how gaming can be a constant in peoples lives

I guess there’s always one controversy or another being flung about in gaming. It just seemed to be a good time to speak up as a gamer. Though we, as gamers, mostly have the same goal (to play games), it’s always interesting to read how we got to where we are. This was certainty fun to write, if nothing else. ☺
