Sun, 30 Mar 2014 21:01:16 +0000/?p=2342#comment-4347This is mainly one of the reason I’ve never understood the prestige system most multi games have. Honestly, I don’t have enough interest in multiplayer experiences to stick around for multiple “prestiges”. It just doesn’t hold my interest long enough. I also agree that they’re experiences that are fleeting, and can be fun to return for a short spurt of fun, but never quite like singleplayer. A good singleplayer experience to me has the similar effect a a book does; they later let you wander the trails of nostalgia, and give you an experience you wish you could forget just so you can re-live it.

Then again, I hung out with people who played Call of Duty and Battlefield a lot back in college, and when in club we’d always play stuff like Smash Bros or Street Fighter to get things going. So maybe it’s because I was in that bubble that’s why.

Sun, 30 Mar 2014 14:00:53 +0000/?p=2342#comment-4339I agree I used to play multiplayer games all the time because they were fun, but after a while I missed the feeling of completing a game and moving on to a new game and having to experience something new and exciting.
