Even a hub world can be a level. And Peach’s Castle would probably have to be one of my favorite locations of “Super Mario 64″, as well, because there was so much to explore, without having to worry about the usual dangers the regular worlds had.

It had just as much space as some of the other levels, had more secrets, and all kinds of cool little things going on (like the stairs!). Not to mention that the castle grounds were our first chance to get a feel for how mario moved in 3d space, kind of like a tutorial level.
