It’s also a naming problem. Not all video games are “games” anymore and e don’t have any terms to mark the differences.

Honestly, what else can we call these things? Interactive movies? Digital Theatre?

It’s still freaking annoying, but still. We do need to better define what everything actually is within the “video game” dome.

It’s kind of a sub-genre unto itself now. Digital…experiences that pull you along from cutscene to cutscene with little actual interaction beyond quicktime events. As you said,they might as well just be movies.
