Maybe it will. Maybe more will want to make games for it if it gets more popular. I don’t know about the Vita, but the original PSP didn’t seem to be particularly popular. Often times, you couldn’t even really buy games for it because stores near me would have a selection of about three PSP games and yet dozens of DS games. I thought the PSP was perfectly good.

You’re right, if you don’t have a PS4, it’s good. If you do, it may be a bother. Why indeed is the PS4 missing this ability? Though, I guess the GameCube had a separate device for playing GameBoy games on a big screen, which is kind of similar.

I really enjoy my Vita, but the lack of upcoming software is disappointing. I’m hoping this device might help improve the install base and maybe more developers will want to make games for it. Not sure how likely that is, but I am hoping.

Thanks for this. I may actually invest in one, if it’s released stateside, as I don’t own a Vita and probably won’t get a PS4 for quite awhile after its release. I agree with all the positives you list, though I can’t help but feel like it’s a gimmick (which won’t particularly affect me, since I don’t own the other systems, but which I can see aggravating PS4 owners–why not just build the same functionality into the bigger system?). Still, I’m not complaining–the Classics alone are a compelling reason to buy it.

That sounds quite interesting, especially since I am no longer interested in spending so much money on all these handhelds all the time. I actually don’t buy handheld systems at all anymore (I simply watched “KH:DDD” on Youtube rather than having to buy a 3DS). But, it would be more worth it if it was inexpensive and could do so many things. Hopefully they will release it in other areas.
