Early this month on United We Game, we tackled the topic of co-op play. It was great to read all the different perspectives on cooperative play with others, whether locally or online. My own post on the subject took a typically negative turn that I rounded out in a positive way. I certainly don’t hate co-op play, but it’s not something that I regularly seek out. What do you think? Comments on this and any of our posts are always welcome!

It sounds like you have a great group of people to play. A little trash talking between friends never hurts to help compel one to do better! But it’s good that they are patient too.

Me and my partner have different play styles and will compete more aggressively for drops, kills and to get the high score. This leads to more stressful play situations.

I would definitely recommend playing other co-op games if you can – I know the lego games can be fun.

Recently I was playing the game Monaco with my best friend and his girlfriend for the first time, as they both have played it before and I haven’t. I was terrible at the controls and figuring out what to do in this heist game. I died plenty of times and my friend sort of yelled at me, but in a joking way of “Woman, what are you doing?!” Overall, I’m lucky to play with people who are patient and don’t lose tempers too easily to make the whole co-op experience a complete bust. Even if I am I fumbling idiot in the game, they do their best to help me and wait for me to get used to the game in time.
