I love that you mention a game (Rayman 3) that you like less for the gameplay and more for the game. That’s the real point here, to pick games that are great for other reasons besides simply being favorites. And your PS2 list is pretty great. I think I’m also going to combine the PS1 and PS2 into one list since I didn’t play many games on the PS1. Will FFVII make the cut? It’s a hard call right now. :)

And as for five games, well, first, I’d have to buy PS2 versions of a few games that I have for other consoles. Then, my list would be “Okami” (one of the best games ever, plus it’s long), “Rayman 3” (a bit silly, but while the point system really has nothing to do with the gameplay, I could play over and over again just to try to beat my score, plus there is tons of silly dialogue, so I like to play the game just to see what new quotes I catch), “Kingdom Hearts 2” (long and great), “Jak 1” (short, but I simply adore it, and it never gets old), and number 5. Hmm, “Ratchet 3”, “FFX”, or “FFVII” (I love the PS2’s backwards compatible-ness). Haven’t decided yet on number 5. Maybe “FFVII”. Maybe.
By the way, great idea for a post. I might do my own sometime (linking back to your idea, of course). Or that would be a great idea for a theme for everyone to write about….

Bubble Bobble ft Rainbow Islands, The original Tomb Raider, Parasite Eve, Pandemonium and Fantastic Journey pinball! A bottle of Lucozade Orange, beef monster munch and a bag of Swizzels Matlow fun mix and I’m happy. When do we leave? Lol
